Youth justice: Police chief and youth leader join YJB

The former chair of the Association of Chief Police Officers Youth Issues Group, and the head of a Bradford youth organisation, have joined the Youth Justice Board. Charles Clark, who was deputy chief constable in Essex until his retirement at the end of last year, and Salima Hafejee, director of the Bradford Youth Development Partnership, replace board members who stepped down last year.Dr Theodore Mutale, a consultant psychiatrist at the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust Adolescent Medium Secure Forensic Unit, has also now stepped down from the board.
