Participation: Youth web site to influence opinion

By , Wednesday 10 January 2007

BT and The Guardian newspaper are recruiting young people to create an online community that will help them influence opinion-makers.

A panel of 12 to 15 young people aged 11 to 25 will start work on the web site this summer, supported by online experts from The Guardian.

The Young Voices project, funded by BT as part of its Better World Campaign, will also hold regular meetings with the paper's journalists. Two members of the panel will be children of BT employees.

To nominate a young person for the scheme, visit www. guardian.co.uk/btyoungvoices.
