The National Youth Agency is running an Ideas into Action training event aimed at workers in both the voluntary and statutory sectors who want to encourage and support young people in taking up volunteering opportunities.

To be held in Liverpool on 4 September 2006, the event will consider volunteering opportunities for young people and activities to encourage participation; discuss the barriers to young people volunteering and suggest ways to promote involvement; look at ways to promote voluntary participation, including ways to accredit work done; and share good practice.
