Connexions: Partnerships ask for redundancy details

By , Wednesday 23 March 2005

The National Association of Connexions Partnerships is pressing the Government to reveal the extent of redundancies that could be borne by the service in the event of restructuring.

The association has responded to speculation about an 80m bill for redundancies as part of a 150m restructuring expected over the next three years.

Government officials are refusing to confirm or deny the figures, but it is looking increasingly unlikely that the youth green paper, which will spell out the future of Connexions, will be published before the imminent general election.
