By , Wednesday 16 March 2005

Each week we feature one of the projects run in partnership with an NYA-managed funding stream - Young People's Development Programme, Young Roots, Partners in Innovation or the Neighbourhood Support Fund.

Young People's Development Project - South Tees Active Youth (STAY) Project

Location: Middlesbrough

Project: This Youth Inclusion Project is broadening its remit through YPDP funding to include sexual health and substance misuse education. It provides diversionary leisure and arts activities, and basic and life-skills sessions to prepare young people for further learning. The project plans to develop community-based activities, including restorative and reparation programmes to improve the environment, to encourage young people to invest in their communities.
