The new centre, which is being funded using cash from the government's Myplace scheme, will give young people access to a safe space where they can socialise and work on projects covering art, music, technical theatre, film, fitness and dance.

Islington Council has recruited a group of 14 young advisers to help develop a flagship youth centre in Finsbury Park.
The new centre, which is being funded using cash from the government's Myplace scheme, will give young people access to a safe space where they can socialise and work on projects covering art, music, technical theatre, film, fitness and dance.
The main aim of the centre will be to raise the aspirations of local teenagers. Young people had identified this as an important objective when they helped prepare the funding bid for the project.
Zach, 16, a student from Islington, said: "I'm looking forward to being involved in this project and making sure that young people's ideas are really listened to."
