Seaton Library in Devon is to open exclusively for young people once a week thanks to a joint venture between the library and the local youth service.
The project is the first of its kind in the area, and will see the library open its doors between 5pm and 7pm every Thursday.
Young people will have the chance to use the internet, a Wii gaming console and computers for free, and will be able to borrow books, CDs and DVDs.
A programme of activities will also be on offer, including filmmaking, manga drawing and karaoke.
