Latest quarterly figures for the agency reveal the total amount owed by non-resident parents now stands at 3.8bn pounds, up by 120m pounds on last year. Of this around 2.2bn pounds is classed as probably uncollectable, due to lack of contact with the non-resident parent by the agency or because payments are suspended, until such time as the individual’s circumstances change.
