Online resource for out-of-school clubs launched

By Charlotte Goddard Thursday, 10 September 2009

A childcare professional and an internet consultant have set up an online information service on how to set up and run out-of-school clubs.

The Out of School Alliance (OOSA) includes information on training, activities and equipment as well as forms and other paperwork.

The site also offers a discounted insurance package for out-of-school clubs and an online forum to help people share ideas and experiences.

Co-founder Catherine Wrench said: "When I was setting up my own out-of-school club, I was frustrated at how hard it was to get the full picture of what was required. I could find no single source with all the information I needed and I spent many late nights trying to assemble all sorts of policy documents to satisfy Ofsted requirements."
