Guidance issued for national childcare register

Ofsted has released guidance for those wanting to register on the voluntary part of the national childcare register.
The educational watchdog has also published information on the requirements for the voluntary part of the register.
Those eligible to register include people who care for children at their homes and people caring for children aged eight to 17.
People looking after children aged under eight in a situation which is exempt from compulsory registration, such as sports coaching, can also register.
