Kids Taskforce launches anti-gang film for secondary school pupils in memory of Jimmy Mizen

Called Watch Over Me, the film has been produced in memory of schoolboy Jimmy Mizen. Mizen was murdered by 19-year-old Jake Fahri, who threw a glass tray at him at a bakery, which severed an artery in his neck.

A spokeswoman for Kids Taskforce explains that the film contains 10 episodes. Issues covered include gang culture, arson and extremism. The film will be distributed in time for the next academic year, she added.

The Jimmy Mizen Foundation, set up by his parents to campaign against violent crime, has worked closely with the charity on producing the film.

Last weekend Jimmy's parents staged a memorial service, called Building a Legacy of Peace. The event at Westminster Cathedral coincided with what would have been Jimmy's 18th birthday. This was the second event of its kind arranged by the family.

Families of other victims of violent crime, such as Damilola Taylor and Robert Knox also attended.
