Supporting Young Fathers
- Date:
- 21 April 2010 to 21 April 2010
- Organizer:
- Young People in Focus
- Location:
- Manchester
Young fathers are increasingly in the spotlight, but services for young parents still tend to focus on the mothers. The value of fathers to children's wellbeing is increasingly documented, as are the risks associated with absent fathers. Around 40% of young fathers have little or no contact with their children after one year. Provision to support young fathers is slowly developing and this course considers examples of promising practice to help participants to develop their own work
