An NCH early intervention scheme in Havering is to expand to include more primary schools across the London borough, following positive feedback from head teachers already involved.
The scheme supports children who are excluded from school or have angermanagement issues.
Using money from the Children's Fund and Havering council, the charityhas been running the scheme in 14 schools in north Romford for last fouryears. But from this month it will be extended to primary schools insouth Havering.
So far, around 60 families have been helped and the initiative waspraised in a recent survey of north Romford head teachers.
Chris Martin, the council's service manager for partnerships, said:"This is a refocusing of the scheme to enable more families to benefit."
