Best practice

We have been good at creating bespoke placements for young people with some very complex needs. A lot of our young people live within the urban community and are learning to come to terms with some challenging issues.

Employment policy

We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all parts of society. Due to the nature of the work, an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check will be required.

Training and career development

All employees are required to undertake training including NVQs, therapeutic training and basic skills training. We positively encourage promotion from within the company and most of our managers have progressed in this way.

Salary and benefits

Holiday is accrued on the basis of the hours worked, so in effect the more hours worked the more holidays are accrued. We work on a rota basis of two days on, four days off, which is often very attractive to people as it gives them more time to spend with their family. Salaries are based upon experience and qualifications and are very competitive.

The future

We have recently joined the Care UK group of companies and next year will be part of an integrated child care service offering all types of placements from fostering, respite and residential care for young people aged between 8 to 18. This development means that we now have enhanced career opportunities for all staff, plus an even better range of placements for young people.
