Visit this page daily during National Care Leavers Week for videos featuring projects in Torfaen, Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Nottingham, Camden and Stockport.
Each video offers crucial learnings from council practitioners and powerful experiences from care leavers themselves on some of the key issues for care leavers; housing, mental health, life skills, education/employment and belonging.
The first video in the series, addressing the subject of housing, goes live on Monday 26th October.

I think this is amazing!! However I feel that authorities need to consider that every child in care is haerd like this, I know this can be pretty tough going. However I was one that was missed untill leaving care & finding out about these particular programmes of intervention. I feel that alot more can be done with motive & dedication of all that work with children &young people in care. A prime example is: to look closely at the practitioners that are working alongside the next generation of care, are they worthy, are they equipped with the best understanding of unlaying issues of these young people? Like one guy stated in one of these above videos, are they sure the child or young person have got these issues are you sure it might not be symptoms of depression? One method yeah I will admit that does not always work however is REFLECTION!! CAN YOU ASSUME, WE ARE ALL HUMANS !! "NOT IMMORAL", WHO NEED SUPPORT JUST PROBABLY ALITTLE MORE INTENSE THAN OUR PEERS DEPENDENT AGAIN ON THE INDIVIDUAL & THERE NEEDS. LEARN TO LISTEN, IT IS VITAL!!
