Youth club activities - Let's talk alcohol Trainer Vanessa Rogers has put together this resource pack for youth workers and other professionals working with young people aged 13 to 16. It can be used as a standalone session or as part of a wider alcohol and drugs programme.

The Drinkaware Trust A "talking to your children about alcohol" sheet contains conversation starters that could be adapted by youth workers
A printable PDF quiz from The Barn, an under-18's drug and alcohol service in Barnsley (South Yorkshire).
Interactive quiz from CBBC Possibly more for younger children
Printable activity sheets from Look Out! Alcohol! Aimed at seven- to 11-year-olds, include a "make your own unit calculator" and alcohol quiz.
UK Youth's Drinkaware Challenges leaflet contains ideas for activities such as planning and running a non-alcoholic cocktail party but you'll have to pay for the full toolkit.
Talk about Alcohol resources includes worksheets for use by teachers, for example: "Most young people think their peers drink more than they actually do. This allows students to test their preconceptions." Also online games such as: "Students choose how much to drink at a virtual party - the more they drink the harder it is for them to find their way home."

Alien game from Look Out! Alcohol! Aimed at seven- to 11-year-olds, children have to navigate through a futuristic city finding facts and answering questions on alcohol, to earn points to buy aliens.

Videos
Truetube's Blame it on the Booze videos Videos designed to provoke debate and inspire young people to create and upload their own films. Topics include parenting an alcoholic mother, binge drinking and myths about booze. Some old public education films don't currently seem to play.
Videos on drink and drugs from TheSite.org Topics include "How many units do you drink", "How to drink sensibly" and "Helping someone with a drink problem".
Youth TV: television by young people Youth TV is a video project run by Satori Media aimed at giving young people the opportunity to express themselves on issues relevant, and important, to them. One episode is on the consequences of drug and alcohol misuse.
