Emily Cross, aged four, was among children who enjoyed fun activities like face-painting at a special celebration to mark the official opening of Long Eaton Children's Centre and showcase the work of Derbyshire children's centres. The ocean-themed Under the Sea event was one of three activity days to demonstrate services across the town. Derbyshire has 42 children's centres up and running with another 12 due to be established by 2011.
