The study looks back at the organisation's work and traces the changes since it was established as Devon Association of Youth Clubs in 1949.
The authors talk about the impact documents such as the Albemarle Report had on youth work in the county and how the association managed to appoint its first full-time director in 1984 during a time of youth service cutbacks.
"We have tried to tell the history as it appeared to unfold," said the report's authors Dudley Booth and Jim Corben.
