The Healthcare Commission's annual survey asked about incidents in the month before the workers were quizzed. The poll, carried out between October and December 2007, found 45 per cent of midwives had seen potentially harmful incidents compared to 35 per cent of children's nurses and 21 per cent of health visitors.
