In February the Scottish Government invited police forces and local partners to bid for £200,000 of funding for work to tackle gang and youth disorder. It has now allocated £163,000 to 19 projects, after two initial applications were withdrawn and nine others rejected. Justice secretary Kenny MacAskill said: "It's great to see that so many of Scotland's police forces and their local partners have risen to the challenge and come up with great projects to help tackle youth and gang disorder."...
