The Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment has produced the guide, Sure Start: Every Building Matters , with the Department for Children, Schools and Families. It sets out principles for designing buildings so they engage the local community; include spaces that interest children; are sustainable; and can be adapted to changing needs.
