Primate Dixon Primary School in Coalisland aims to help children with autism take part in mainstream education.

Education minister Caitriona Ruane opened the school yesterday.

"I want to congratulate all those involved with the support unit here at Primate Dixon," said Ruane.

"Centres such as these offer a supportive and enjoyable learning environment, enabling some of our most vulnerable children to access the education they deserve."
