Northampton's youth service is to step up its work in the Wootton and East Hunsbury areas to coincide with the end of a dispersal order.
The order, which allows police to move on teenagers in the area, is due to run out on 19 January. Local police officers are concerned young people will start gathering in the villages once the order ends.
In response the local youth service is now planning to run an extra session each week in the town.
