A state-of-the-art youth centre in south London has reopened its doors after a refit. The John Innes Youth Centre in Wimbledon has been refurbished and is now home to Kingston and Wimbledon YMCA's "alternative curriculum" for young people. The centre boasts a skills academy and music room to offer learning in a different environment for 14- to 16-year-olds who struggle at school. In the music room, 11- to 17-year-olds can learn an instrument, DJ or try mixing without having to learn theory or pay for formal lessons.
