Scottish first minister Jack McConnell will meet Scotland’s 12 Premier League football clubs in the new year to discuss how they can help reduce the numbers of young people not in education, employment or training. McConnell is keen to build upon initiatives such as the learning centres for young people established by Rangers and Celtic football clubs, launched in 2001 and 2002 respectively.
