A handbook of cartoons and practical tips and activities for all

Nursery World
26 June 2003

A handbook of cartoons and practical tips and activities for all practitioners working with young deaf children has been produced by the National Deaf Children's Society. Deaf-Friendly Nurseries and Pre-Schools includes advice on how to create an inclusive environment and practical strategies for reading, storytime, music and playing games. The book aims to help early years workers develop an understanding of the implications and issues and gain confidence in working with deaf children. For a free copy contact NDCS on 0808 800 8880 or download the guide at the website www.ndcs.org.uk.
