A new guide will help parents choose suitable childcare and early education services. Choosing Childcare - Your Sure Start Guide to Childcare and Early Education, published by the Daycare Trust with support from the Sure Start Unit, advises parents on what checks should be made, how to get help paying for childcare and ways to combine work and family life. Daycare Trust director Stephen Burke said, 'Quality, affordable childcare provides families with choices. Sometimes these can seem bewildering when parents return to work.
