Extended Schools and Sure Start Children's Centres

A discussion paper on the Governance and Management of Extended Schools and Sure Start Children's Centres has been launched by the Department for Education and Skills. The paper covers the issues and good practice that have emerged following the first phase of the roll- out of extended schools and children's centres. Local authorities have been asked to forward the paper to interested parties. A review by PricewaterhouseCoopers is due in December and will be incorporated into the guidance that comes out of the governance and management discussion paper.
