We are concerned that 70 per cent of primary teachers in our survey feel league tables impact negatively on their wellbeing. Setting aside the debate on the usefulness of league tables, teachers who call the Teacher Support Line say pressure to meet targets, coupled with publicising school performance, is causing widespread stress and potentially stifling their creativity.
