The software supplier Oracle was the biggest sponsor supplying nearly £4m of IT equipment for specialist schools.

BT made the next biggest contribution with a sum of £2.5m to be spent by schools on projects that support the citizenship curriculum. The fast food chain McDonald's gave £5,630 towards 16 to 19 financial support, which helps young people to stay in education.
