News in brief: Educational assessment for young people on remand

All young people sentenced or remanded to Northern Ireland's juvenile justice centre for more than one week should have an educational assessment and individual learning plan, the country's Youth Justice Agency said last week in its business plan for 2005/06. www.youthjusticeagencyni.gov.uk.
