News in brief: Scottish Executive promises publication

The Scottish Executive has promised to publish final guidance on the new model for child protection committees in the next few weeks. In a parliamentary debate last week, deputy education minister Euan Robson also revealed that all 93 fast-track social work trainees who are about to graduate will move into children and families posts.
